Biography
Jenny Winter is a German sound designer, composer and mixing engineer who loves working with natural and
human sounds. Her fondness of capturing moments and atmospheres using her field recorder
has molded her intimate and honest style.
In 2023, she created the sound for Roman Wegera’s "Wherever Paradise Is", which won the prize for Best Medium-Length Movie at Germany's most important
festival for newcomers in film, the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis. Following her nomination in 2022, she won the European Talent Award 2024
in the category of "Best Sound Design" at SoundTrack Cologne, Europe's leading congress for music and sound in film, games, and media.
In addition to her work as a sound designer, Jenny continues to grow her musical career as a songwriter and singer.
After a year of composing and producing songs for Antonia Uhl's film “Eine Wütende Frau” (English: "An Angry Woman"), her first single “Fliegen Lernen”
(English: "Learning to Fly") debuted in July 2024. An EP will be released later in 2024, featuring additional songs that will be launched as singles
over the coming months.
Jenny studied under sound designer and mixing engineer Tobias Fleig (The Counterfeiters,
Little Joe), as well as composer Andreas Grimm (Pastewka, Der Wixxer). Other areas of
expertise she gained through her studies include directing and editing music video productions, as well as classical singing.
